For the 30th anniversary of The Godfather: Part III, the picture and sound were meticulously restored and included a new beginning and ending, as well as changes to scenes, shots, and music cues. To show how the resulting project, The Godfather, Coda: The Death of Michael Corleone, reflects author Mario Puzo and Coppola’s original intentions for The Godfather: Part III, we created a featurette with Coppola himself describing, “a more appropriate conclusion to The Godfather and The Godfather: Part II.”’
The featurette debuted with EW.com (21MM MUV) before going live on The Godfather Movie and studio social channels.
